Easter Week
So excited about Easter Week at Apex Baptist! Here's what we've got going on beginning Palm Sunday:
- On Sunday, March 24 our Worship Team will be presenting a special time of music entitled "Risen Redemption." Powerful and filled with energy, this will be a worship experience you want to be a part of! We'll also be taking the Lord's Supper together as a fellowship and we'd love for you to come proclaim Christ's death and resurrection with us!
- On Wednesday, March 27 we will have a time of prayer and praise in the Worship Center beginning at 6:30 PM. Join us for a reflective time of remembering Jesus' sacrifice and His triumph three days later!
- Easter Weekend is going to be super exciting! We're starting a new teaching series called Heroes and we're offering three different worship services: Saturday at 6:00 PM and Sunday morning at 9:00 and 11:00.
Come join us and invite some friends!

Love Loud
LOVE LOUD is a movement of Baptist churches demonstrating God's love by
meeting significant human need while sharing Christ. Love compels us to see
neglected and hurting people through the lens of the Gospel and then respond.
Join hundreds of Apex Baptist Church members on these two days as we
lovingly meet the needs of others through local service projects - being the hands
& feet of Jesus. Our goal is that LOVE LOUD would be a catalyst for Apex Baptist
Church which would launch more people into regular ministries – impacting and
transforming our community for Christ.
We currently have several of our adult life groups that have been active in serving with our local ministry partners (Hand of Hope Pregnancy Resource Center, Raleigh Rescue Mission, Durham Rescue Mission and Seeds of Mustard).
We certainly want our Life Groups to help these on the 6th, so contact yours now and start making your plans. If your ministry partner gets flooded with offers of help, we have several other opportunities to recommend to you, especially:
Medical/Dental Van Ministry on Friday and Saturday, April 5 & 6. This annual ministry project meets many medical, dental and spiritual needs - mainly to the Hispanic community. There are a great number of ways to get involved here – and you don’t even have to know how to speak Spanish! Direct your questions & desire to help to Pastor Alex Cosio (Alex@apexbaptist.org or 362-6176 x226).
Doing light repairs, painting & landscaping at local schools – We want to establish a faithful, loving presence with these teachers & leaders. Our goal would be for this ministry to grow into an ”adoption” of several schools where we serve and share Jesus’ love on a regular basis. (BTW, we are already getting requests for help.)
Doing light repairs, painting and yard work for senior citizens, widows and others identified in our community. Our Handy Man ministry has been involved in a lot of these types of service projects this past year, and we want more manpower and womanpower. If your life group members have identified a need in the community, please contact Betty Coleman – 362-6176 x221 – to complete a LOVE LOUD Work Order form. The sooner we get the work orders, the better the chances of us being able to meet the needs.
Nursing home ministry – this is a great arena to share hope, love and the Gospel - often with people who have been forgotten by their families. This is an easy ministry in which to involve your children, too – the kiddies really brighten up the senior citizens’ day. (We’ve got several ideas & helps for this ministry.)
DOES MY GROUP PAY FOR OUR EXPENSES? We have $$$ budgeted for LOVELOUD projects, and it will be given out on a first come - first serve basis. Contact Pastor Chuck Thompson to submit your requests. (Chuck@apexbaptist.org or 362-6176 x232.)
HOW DO I SIGN UP AND GET INVOLVED? The bulk of our sign-ups and projects will be done through our adult life groups. If you are not a member of a life group, or really want to do some other service on that day, you also may pick up a general LOVELOUD Sign-up Sheet from the Opportunity Center or download one right here. When completed, take it to the church office. We’re certainly encouraging families to serve together as much as possible, too. This may mean that parents may bring their kids to their adult class’s projects, or that the kids may bring their parents to their class projects.
T-SHIRTS As we do with many of our church events, we want to give everyone who participates a LOVE LOUD t-shirt. Submit your life group order to the church office by Monday, March 25. (Submit your individual LOVE LOUD sign up sheet by this date, too)! We can go as small as a Child’s 6-8 and as large as an Adult XXXL. Our goal is to have them ready for you on Sunday, March 29.
LASTLY, LOVE LOUD will be a HUGE day for you, your family, Apex Baptist Church, and for the Apex community. Direct your questions and ideas to Chuck Thompson.
